Introducing the Norgren air pressure regulator range

Air pressure regulators are found in most industrial settings, from processing plants to manufacturers and repair and maintenance facilities. Any setting where compressed air or gases are used will have an array of air pressure regulators in use to ensure a safe environment where equipment can function to the highest standard.

An air pressure regulator is used to reduce the pressure from a central compressor so that equipment downstream is not fed air at too high a pressure. They are critical in terms of safety, cost savings and maintaining an even feed.

Here, we take a look at the range of Norgren pressure regulators available on the market and stocked at Fluid Controls:

Norgren Pressure Regulators

Norgren are experts in compressed air preparation solutions, critical for ensuring the highest level of performance in pneumatic ring-main and equipment. Their options in air pressure regulators include:

Air filter pressure regulators – The filter regulator unit is Norgren’s most popular compressed air filter pressure regulator. It removes moisture and particles from the air that is passed through it, as well as providing accurate pressure adjustment in one unit.

The particle removal, thanks to these Norgren pressure regulators’ air filters, will capture either 5, 25 or 40 microns depending on the rating selected. This air filter pressure regulator range includes either auto drain or manual drain options, outlet pressure adjustment from 0.3 – 10 bar, 0.3 – 7 bar or 0.4 – 8 bar.

Standard air pressure regulators – Norgren’s range of standard air pressure regulators is vast. Designed to reduce the flow for downstream equipment or applications, Norgren pressure regulators include options for high flow, pilot operated, special-purpose as well as standard air pressure regulators.

Port sizes range from ¼” to 2” and are available with a cartridge and without a yoke. Outlet adjusters vary widely, with options ranging from 0-0.35 bar right through to 7-20 bar. There are three series within the Norgren pressure regulator range for compressed air and gases: Excelon, Excelon Plus and Olympian Plus.

Combination filter regulator lubricator units – Compressed air preparation, when used correctly, should utilise the various components in the correct order. These assembly units are ideal where a Norgren pressure regulator is needed alongside auxiliary components. Included in the assembly are an air filter pressure regulator, lubricator, shut off valve, gauge and mounting brackets – all supplied as a fully formed package.

With port sizes from G1/8 to G1, outlet pressure adjustment ranging from 0.3-7 bar through to 0.3-10 bar and filter elements of 5 microns or 40 microns, the range encompasses a wide variety of needs. There is the option of an auto drain or a manual drain on these air pressure regulator units, and again the range includes the Excelon, Excelon Plus and Olympian plus Norgren pressure regulators.
