The FQPV2 mass flow controller uses a super fast analog PID to drive an electric current to a true proportional solenoid valve in order to vary the media flow rate. The mass flow of the media is quickly detected by the F-series mass flow transducer and the electric signal is provided to the PID control circuit. This high speed mass flow controller is a complete package consisting of a proportional flow control solenoid valve, mass flow transducer, and high speed PID control circuit to close the loop. All you need to provide is source air pressure, power and an electronic control signal.

The FQPV2 electronic mass flow controller is able to control gas flow rates as low as 2 SCFH to as high as 1 SCFM with a 10:1 turn-down ratio. For flow rates below one standard cubic foot per minute (scfm), an F-series flow transducer is used as electronic feedback to an FQPV2 control valve.
The FQPV2 has an internal analog PID (proportional, integral & derivative) control circuit which matches the user provided electronic command signal to the electronic flow rate feedback signal from the F-series mass flow transducer. The circuit achieves this by modulating the drive current to a linearly-variable proportional solenoid valve inside the FQPV2 mass flow controller. Because direct proportional solenoid control is limited to low flow rates, this complete flow control package is limited to 1 scfm. However, direct control with a proportional solenoid does allow for extremely high resolution flow control.
