Metering Valves

Parker metering valves are designed to provide accurate and stable control of flow rates in analytical, instrumentation and research applications. Porter, a division of Parker, offer metering valves available as valve cartridges, integrally mounted in flow meters and in-line valve assemblies with straight or angle patterned bodies.

Torque Guard

Porter standard cartridge valves are available with the exclusive torque guard stop mechanism, which eliminates stem damage caused by overtightening of the valve at shut-off. The torque guard system consists of a specifically designed knob with a stop pin pressed into an aluminium knob insert and a mechanical detail on the packing nut that engages the stop pin and prevents clockwise rotation beyond a predetermined point. This combination eliminates overtightening and resultant stem damage.

High Resolution Control Valves

Porter’s HR Series High Resolution Control Valve range is the ultimate choice for precise low flow control thanks to an array of special design features. A spring loaded, non rising adjustment stem with 56-pitch thread provides 15-turn resolution and smooth, non-reversing flow characteristics.

The non-rotating stainless steel valve pin, with precision ground flat, gives exact control and a valve pin O-ring guarantees positive shut-off, preventing stem damage. Furthermore, a self-lubricating orifice liner assures long life and seven needle tapers are available to expand valve capacity.

Instrumentation Metering Valves

Our instrumentation metering valves are designed to provide accurate and stable control of flow rates in analytical, instrumentation and research applications. A variety of connection sizes, body patterns and materials of construction are available.

Porter Metering Valves

Porter metering valves are designed for extremely precise control in low flow gas and liquid applications. Available as valve cartridges, integrally mounted in flowmeters and in-line valve assemblies with straight or angle patterned bodies. All in-line valve assemblies have 1/8’’ female NPT inlet and outlet ports.

Standard Cartridge Valves

Porter’s Standard Cartridge Valves (SCV) are economical and multi-purpose valve assemblies that are available in three needle tapers and are ideal for a broad variety of low flow applications.
