Fluid Controls can supply three different series of Perma Pure Dryers. The MD Series and PD Series of gas dryers are the ideal choice for drying gas samples prior to analysis. These series also employ exclusive Nafion technology and reduce the sample dew point to as low as -45°C without any measurable loss of analytes. ME Series moisture exchangers selectively remove only water vapour from the sample, virtually eliminating this source of analyser failure.

Perma Pure MD Gas Dryer

Perma Pure MD Gas Dryers are used to protect moisture-sensitive equipment by selectively drying sample or carrier gas. The MD-Series gas dryers transfer moisture from one gas stream to a counter-flowing purge gas, much like a shell-and-tube heat exchanger transfers heat. Some of the advantages of the MD series include excellent corrosion resistance, short residence time and they also require no electricity to work.

Perma Pure PD Gas Dryer

Perma Pure PD Gas Dryers constantly dry gases for applications with high performance and high-flow. The series also uses exclusive Perma Pure Nafion tubing technology to continuously dry gases to very low dew points. The PD-Series dryers operate over a large range of temperatures. Some of the advantages of this series include maintenance-free operation, low pressure drop and they also dry continuously.

Perma Pure ME Series

Perma Pure’s ME Series of highly-selective permeation tubing for medical equipment & patient sample lines is used for a large range of applications. These Moisture Exchangers are ideal for both drying and humidifying gas streams. These devices use Nafion membrane tubing technology to transfer water to or from a gas stream.

In either application, ME Series moisture exchangers will act to achieve equilibrium between the gas inside the tubing and the surrounding atmosphere. This is done without loss of analytes and with no utility requirements.
