Welker Jet Control Valves

Fluid Controls can provide your business with jet stream control valves from US-based manufacturers, Welker, as part of our extensive process valves range. Suitable for treating gasses and liquids in both flow and pressure control applications, Welker jet control valves can be supplied as flanged, insert or top entry models.

Jet control valves from Welker

Welker designed the first rubber plug type control valve back in 1958 to meet gas industry demands for a quieter and more versatile control valve. The many refinements and improvements made since then have been incorporated into the present-day line of Welker jet control valves.

The basic design of a Welker jet control valve consists of a rubber plug which expands via a hydraulically operated piston and cylinder system. As the hydraulic force on the plug increases, it expands radially until sealing against the inside of a fixed liner. Once achieved, hydraulic pressure is provided by a pneumatically operated diaphragm motor.

The streamlined and aerodynamic design of Welker jet control valves generates a unique flow path for chosen media that is unmatched by most other control valves on the market.

Benefits of Welker jet control valves

The key benefits of applying Welker jet control valves in your processes include:

  • High recovery
  • Quick response
  • Easy maintenance
  • Pressure or flow control
  • Minimum noise
  • Positive shut-off
  • Infinite rangeability
  • High capacity

Welker jet control valve types

Flanged jet control valves

Welker’s flanged jet control valves are designed to be mounted inline as part of the piping itself. The inspection spool allows this flanged control valve to be easily removed for inspection.

Insert style jet control valves

Welker’s insert style jet control valves are designed to be installed between two flanges of a piping system. The inspection spool allows for the simplified removal of the insert style control valve during routine inspections.

Top entry Jet control valves

Welker’s top entry jet control valves are designed to be inline mounted as part of the piping system. Much like the other two models, the inspection spool can be removed easily should the need for inspection arise.
