Equilibar Electronic Pressure Regulator QB Series

Equilibar Electronic Pressure Regulator – QB Series

The Equilibar Electronic Pressure Regulator QB Series has been designed and developed to precisely control the pressure of gaseous media proportional to an electronic signal. The QB series is built using a rugged stainless-steel manifold and is contained within a protective NEMA4/IP65 enclosure. This series of electronic pressure regulators is primarily used for pressures up to 34 bar and is often used to provide the pilot reference pressure to an Equilibar back pressure regulator.

How does the Equilibar QB Series operate?

The Equilibar Electronic Pressure Regulator QB Series operates using two normally closed solenoid valves, a pressure sensor and a control circuit. It works by taking these 4 steps:

1. One valve is actuated to allow unregulated supply of media to flow in and raise the system pressure.
2. The second valve is actuated to allow working media to vent to atmosphere and lower the pressure in the system.
3. An internal pressure sensor provides feedback to the control circuit
4. The control circuit compares the pressure sensor feedback to the user-supplied electronic command signal and actuates the appropriate solenoid valve until the two signals match.
