What is a pressure relief valve

A pressure relief valve is a safety mechanism used to relieve intense pressure when systems reach a certain point. This open-close feature is an easy way to avoid accidents and quickly restore normal pressure levels. At Fluid Controls, we distribute only the best pressure control products throughout our entire product range. The only supplier we use for relief valves is the reputable Parker Hannifin and their Parker HPRV, to ensure a safe, consistent product. A pressure relief valve differs from a pressure regulator. Why choose the Parker pressure relief valve?

The Parker HPRV proportional relief valve is an innovative, high quality valve that will perform extraordinarily well in safety critical situations.

The well-designed Parker pressure relief valve features a captured moulded seat design which is both blow out and chip resistant. Not only this, the pressure settings are externally adjustable and its eight different spring ranges enhance its system sensitivity.

The special design of the low friction stem seal increases the accuracy of the cracking and reseat pressure and the balanced poppet design makes sure the cracking pressure is consistent.

The wide pressure range of the Parker pressure relief valve means that, conveniently, it is a solution for most instrumentation applications. Also, a great safety feature of this valve is its unique Tru-Loc, which helps avoid accidental adjustment.
