Bürkert Robolux valves for hygienic applications

Bürkert’s breakthrough Robolux multiport diaphragm valve promises easy cleaning, low internal volume and precise flow control. As an official Bürkert supplier, Fluid Controls can bring you all the advantages of Robolux, which we outline here in our latest blog.

Bürkert‘s Robolux valve allows for two independent process switching functions with one membrane. Not only does this reduce installation space requirements but it also eliminates T-adapters and minimises valves and membranes. These intelligent valves are therefore ideal for hygienic processing environments.

Compatible with Bürkert’s ELEMENT range of control heads, Robolux valves save on both cost and space. They are also designed to tackle the rigours of hygienic processing applications, such as in the chemical, pharmaceutical, biotech, and food and beverage industries. The improved reliability and cleanability of Robolux valves equates to cost reductions and improved plant availability.

This next generation of multi-way, multi-port diaphragm valves were developed with ultra-pure installations in mind. they can be integrated into complex systems within a considerably more compact footprint and are ideal for a system approach. Bürkert Robolux valves allow existing process sequences to be converted to Robolux and redesigned. This leads to simplified piping systems and components, resulting in noticeable space savings and reduced installation and maintenance costs.

Benefits of Bürkert Robolux valve

Robolux’s compact body features a hygienic design, adverse cleaning agents against resistant materials and a practical high IP protection. It also minimises internal volume and produces no dead flow zones, resulting in better flow and evacuation properties, easier/faster cleaning and changeover of the interfaces, and less wastage.

Combined with Bürkert’s ELEMENT control head the Robolux valve provides a complete process solution. Field level valves can be equipped with automation components, such as pilot valves, optical status indicators and electrical feedback units. Plus, the new decentralised automation concept provides a compact alternative to central switching cabinets, delivering installation and trouble-shooting cost and time savings.

Controlling the Bürkert Robolux valve, using the control head as a central unit, allows it to perform all pneumatic actuation, feedback and diagnostic functions, as well as bus communication. An integrated three-colour optical status display, with high-power LEDs, also provides a visual overview of valve status at field level. It also gives electrical feedback to the master controller and signals the current switching position of the process valve – facilitating diagnosis and maintenance within the system itself.

Let Fluid Controls supply your Bürkert sanitary valves

As well as the Robolux valve, Fluid Controls supplies a wide range of sanitary and process valves from Bürkert. They have created a remarkable range of attractive and hardworking valve elements, which can be combined to give you the best possible solution for your application. Bürkert has developed the widest range of equipment to actuate, monitor, network, position and decentralise process control into the field – and Fluid Controls brings you some of their most innovative products.
